Damn Small Linux is a LiveCD that offers us the possibility to carry around a full operating system, on  an optical disc, that will allow you to browse over Internet, write any text for a project or chat with your friends, without having to install it on a computer to be able to use it.

  This portable distribution has a couple of browsers (Firefox and Netrik), a text processor (Ted), an electronic mail manager (Sylpheed), and image viewer (Xzgv), a photograph editor (Xpaint), a program for VoIP calls (Gphone), a multimedia player (XMMS) and programs to open PDFs and Office documents, among other things.

  Obviously, its interface is a lot simpler than that of the vast majority of operating systems, but despite this it is a development that can come in handy whenever we want.
